I recently received word that I would be assigned to the USS Bonhomme Richard out of San Diego. Nicole and I are very excited about the move. I will depart Annapolis on the 24th of October while Nicole remains out here for the November elections and wedding planning.

Our living situation in San Diego is still up in the air. We would like to buy a house but may end up renting due to the volatile real estate situation. I will be the auxiliary officer which is part of the engineering department. I am not sure what my job is all about but I will soon find out.

Nicole just had her "surprise" bridal shower last Sunday. Everybody was there and she had a great time. Meanwhile, the men were up the street freezing our butts off watching the Ravens game in a screened in porch (the TV was a whopping 13 inches).
