Well, as most of you know I am in San Diego now. My first week on my ship went well and I found a place for Nicole and I to live. It's great! Perfectly located right outside the city, the Heritage Apartments are perched on a slight hill right across from the historic El Cortez building four blocks from Balboa Park. It's a three story townhouse with a nice little deck and direct street access. You can see into PETCO Field from our balcony.

I have been rooming with Doug McMahon in the nice island community of Coronado for the last three weeks. He just made it through Hell Week and is one step closer to completing BUD/S training. The sunset picture is from Coronado Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen. I doubt Doug would agree with me.

I am really digging the SWO (surface warfare officer) community so far. My ship is awesome and I have a great wardroom. We deploy for four days at the end of November but I will be in LA for Thanksgiving.

Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing you all in December. Bring your winter coats cuz its going to be chillay'.
